Telegram’s new privacy setting enables individuals to limit the length of time their personal data remains stored on Telegram, from three days up to infinity – perfect for keeping children safe from inappropriate content; but be mindful to monitor your children closely so they can delete their own data if desired. This feature is now available on Android, iOS and desktop – meaning parents can make sure their child deletes his/her own records as needed.

Teenagers face unique difficulties accessing private groups and channels with sexual content on their smartphones. Such groups are frequently comprised of large numbers of members; in some instances they’re open to anyone with a Telegram account.

These groups and channels host explicit material such as nude images, videos and other forms of media. Some groups and channels are open to everyone while others require membership by invitation only; group moderators can sometimes restrict certain users access to certain media types or media types altogether.

Some sex groups on Telegram are open and allow subscribers to upload images and videos freely, as well as reacting with thumbs up/thumbs down votes and fire icon reactions on content shared by other subscribers.

Israeli media reported on Wednesday the arrest of 12 suspects following an extended investigation by Lahav 433, Israel Police’s cyber crimes unit. These 12 individuals reportedly operated several channels on Telegram that distributed nude photos and videos without the knowledge or consent of women involved.
