Born Tina Marie Brockert in Venice, California and raising three siblings there. At eight years old she began singing and performing in local theater productions; also joining Venice High School’s summer dance production; as well as fronting local rock band Truvair from 1974-1975.

After taking a ten year hiatus from recording, Teenie Marie returned to Cash Money Records Classics sublabel and released La Dona as her thirteenth studio album in 2010. Although less successful commercially, La Dona still made it into Billboard’s Top 200 chart and produced one hit single (#23 R&B and #70 Pop), her last before completely retiring from music business to focus on her family life.
